The Automotive Parts Remanufacturers Association (APRA) will hold its Racks Clinic and their Heavy Duty Brake Clinic in Chicago on July 26-28, 2012. The location will be the Holiday Inn Chicago O'Hare Area. This combined clinic will feature tours, presentations and a golf tournament.

The “Welcome to Chicago Reception” will take place on the evening of July 26. On the morning of July 27, the Racks Program will be moderated and organized by acting Chairman Jon Statler of Maval Manufacturing. Statler will make a presentation on an “International Perspective on the Racks Industry.”
Following will be Jake Beidler with Precision Remanufacturing and Pete Fodor and Jim McGrew of PTM who will discuss “Electric Assist Steering Remanufacturing Test Systems” and highlight Precision’s newest addition to their test equipment line. Jim Brunner of Knopf Automotive will talk to the group about “Core Trends and a Core Perspective on Racks.”
There will also be a presentation on “An Introduction to EPS: Its Future and Impact on Remanufacturers.”
After lunch the group will tour Precision Remanufacturing featuring their manual and power rack & pinion unit remanufacturing operation.
The Heavy Duty Brake Division will tour S & S Truck Parts and Phoenix Brake Company on the morning of July 27 and will return to the hotel around noon for a group luncheon. In the afternoon they will have open roundtable discussions on a variety of technical and management topics that will be moderated by Sandra Standley of Power Brake Sales and Chairman, Joe Stillson of Precision Rebuilders.
