The training of technicians in the proper service and repair
of mobile air conditioning systems is at the heart of the
Mobile Air Conditioning Society's (MACS) Worldwide mission.
This coming May, MACS will cross the northern U.S. border to
deliver two training clinic s in Canada.
On Wednesday, May 18, 2011 MACS will present a class in
Compressor Replacement Procedures to avoid comebacks in
Boucherville, Quebec at the headquarters of MACS member
Spectra Premium. This will be a French language presentation.
On Thursday, May 19, 2011 the 2011 MACS Mobile A/C Update
Clinic will be presented in the Toronto area at the Hilton
Garden Inn in Mississauga.
In the Compressor Replacement Procedures to avoid comebacks
class, attendees will learn what you should (and shouldn't) be
doing whenever you're bolting on a replacement compressor.
Following the procedures covered in this class will help
reduce or eliminate comebacks, increase customer satisfaction,
and satisfy compressor suppliers' warranty requirements.
Both Canadian clinics are evening classes to accommodate the
working technician. The Boucherville clinic includes a plant
tour of Spectra Premium's production facility.
The 2011 Mobile A/C Update Clinic is an annual collection of
the cutting edge service and repair information available.
Topics to be covered for 2011 include:
- Case studies - lessons learned
- Compressors without pistons - an in-depth report
- Electrical troubleshooting tips
- Engine coolant update (And It's a Big One!)
- Scanning and flashing GM vehicles
- Those weird alternator pulleys
- What's happening with the new refrigerant
- Working on hybrid HVAC systems
- And other MVAC repair related topics will also be
covered.
MACS will train on-demand at the request of interested repair
facilities. Please visit the online training calendar at
www.macsw.org
under the training topic for the most current list of
