RepairPal, an online destination for auto repair and maintenance information, has struck a deal with Illumaware, a key provider of electronic and print cataloging solutions, to integrate incoming automotive parts supplier information with their automotive service database. RepairPal is implementing Evokat 2.5, Illumaware’s Web-based data authoring tool, to improve the accuracy of RepairPal’s RepairPrice Estimates, and expand the breadth of services covered, the companies state.

“Evokat allows us to integrate parts pricing information directly from manufacturers and distributors via the AAIA’s ACES and PIES industry standard formats," says David Sturtz, CEO of RepairPal. "Parts prices in our RepairPrice Estimates will be updated in real time from a broad array of sources. We gain a new level of sophistication for serving both consumers and quality repair facilities."

“Our agreement with RepairPal represents a deeper penetration into the service side of the automotive aftermarket," says Adrian Klingel, Illumaware’s founder and Chief Technology Officer. "We see this relationship opening a whole new realm where our technology can be applied."

Illumaware's Evokat 2.5 software ensures that parts prices in RepairPal’s RepairPrice Estimates are automatically updated from the industry marketplace in the fastest time possible and in any format required for the database.
