The Automotive Service Association of Missouri/Kansas has a new scholarship program to help automotive service professionals obtain management and technical education. Two scholarships will be awarded to applicants who are attending the 2009 VISION HiTech Training & Expo for the first time. Scholarships will cover one management or technical training registration package, and up to two night’s hotel.

“VISION is excited to make this opportunity available so that new automotive service professionals can receive high quality management and technical training,” says Jerry Holcom, Awards Chairman for ASA of Missouri/Kansas.

Scholarship applications are available on the VISION Web site at www.visionkc.com.

The deadline for applications is Jan. 10, 2009. The Awards Committee will review all applications and base their recommendations on expressed financial need, clear objective for use of the scholarship and goals for career development. The Awards Committee will announce its selections by Feb. 5, 2009.

The 17th Annual VISION Hi-Tech Training & Expo will be held on March 6-8, 2009 at the Overland Park Convention Center in Overland Park, Kansas. Over 1,130 automotive service professionals from 32 states and the Netherlands received over 10,000 hours of training during the 2008 event. The 2009 management and technical training schedule has already been released and is available on the Web site.
