WABCO Holdings Inc. has announced that WABCO was named “Best Supplier 2007” by KAMAZ, manufacturer of commercial vehicles in the Russian Federation.
The only non-Russian supplier to be awarded, WABCO provided consistently outstanding levels of quality in its products, deliveries and services while production volumes at KAMAZ increased by more than 20 percent, according to the company. WABCO began supplying KAMAZ in 1992 and currently provides anti-lock braking systems, electronically controlled air suspension, as well as components for brake and gear box control. The KAMAZ “Best Supplier 2007” award was presented to Dmitri Medvedev, WABCO Original Equipment Sales Leader for the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). One of every two trucks produced in Russia and the CIS is made by KAMAZ. “As a market leader, we honor suppliers that contribute continuously high levels of quality across our value chain and based on year-long evaluations we recognize the best supplier,” says Rishat Nafikovich Kaviev, KAMAZ purchasing director. “WABCO understands and anticipates our needs, particularly in managing volume growth. These days, with our truck business growing domestically by more than 13 percent and internationally over 20 percent, WABCO’s superlative performance further reinforces our own quality system.” “This award is another mark of distinction in our long-standing and growing partnership with KAMAZ,” says Harald Kaess, WABCO vice president, Original Equipment Sales and Customer Management. “KAMAZ has distinguished WABCO for our commitment to customer satisfaction. It recognizes our passion for delivering outstanding results across this growing region in the commercial vehicle industry.” For more information, visit www.wabco-auto.com. |
