BETHESDA, MD - The Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association (AASA) is holding a news conference from 10-11 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 29, in Room 203, Sands Expo Center, Las Vegas, to address the trend of direct importing of aftermarket parts and products by distributors and retailers. The news conference takes place before the official opening of the Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo on Tuesday, Oct. 30, in the Sands Expo Center.
AASA will debut its Special Report: "Direct Importing: Do the Risks Outweigh the Rewards?" and will outline the aftermarket suppliers industry image campaign developed by the AASA Marketing Executives Council (MEC). In addition, discussion will include a preview of the AASA Seminar, "AASA and NHTSA: Ensuring the Quality and Safety of Imported Aftermarket Products," featuring Dan Smith, the associate administrator for enforcement for the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), scheduled for 1-2:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 29, in Room 202, Sands Expo Center.
