When low-sulfur diesel fuel becomes available in 2006, Mercedes-Benz will begin importing the E 320 sedan with a diesel engine that gets about 35 mpg. BMW and Volkswagen also will offer more diesels in the United States. Honda has announced the next Accord will be available as a gas-electric hybrid.
