CAR extended early bird registration for its 2011
I-CAR Industry Event, themed “Technology & Education –
Achieving New Heights,” until June 7. Early bird
registration is $195 and will increase to $245
beginning June 8. The event will be held July 19-21 in
Salt Lake City.

The keynote speaker at this year’s Event will be Dr.
Peter Senge, Ph. D. He is a senior lecturer at the
Massachusetts Institute of Technology and author of the
widely acclaimed book, The Fifth Discipline: The Art
and Practice of The Learning Organization. Dr. Senge
will discuss the importance of learning organizations
in today’s business world and how organizations can
enhance the capacity of all people to work productively
toward common goals. His work articulates a cornerstone
position of human values in the workplace; namely, that
vision, purpose, reflectiveness, and systems thinking
are essential if organizations are to realize their
potential. He has worked with leaders in business,
education, health care and government.
John Van Alstyne, I-CAR CEO & President stated, “I-
CAR’s role-relevant training is well positioned to
positively contribute to industry wide needs, such as
the evolution of vehicle technology, the increasing
need for workforce knowledge and career development,
and the significant need for businesses to continuously

education and training directly impacts the framework
for efficient, performance-oriented work
environments.”
