GEICO's auto damage training center in McLean, Va., was recognized by I-CAR for achieving its I-CAR Gold Class Professionals designation, which identifies collision repair industry facilities that are committed to providing the highest-level of training necessary to keep its team up-to-date on the most current vehicle technology and repair procedures.

“The I-CAR Gold Class Professionals designation is something that’s very important to us,” said William DeGrocco, GEICO’s assistant vice president of auto damage claims. “This ensures that each GEICO associate trained in our training center receives training from an I-CAR trained instructor who is up-to-date on the most current vehicle technology and repair procedures. We are extremely proud of GEICO’s instructors.”

GEICO adjusters from across the United States train at the McLean facility. “By achieving this designation,” said Tim Hession, director of auto damage training, “not only will the training center be kept informed of the industry’s best practices, but the knowledge learned will be passed along to each of our adjusters, as well. Our goal is to provide the best service to our customers and achieving the I-CAR Gold Class Professionals designation proves that we have a dedicated team of auto damage trainers. Serving our customers is our top priority and I-CAR helps us in achieving that mission,” he noted.

John Van Alstyne, I-CAR president and CEO said, “I-CAR congratulates GEICO on earning its I-CAR® Gold Class Professionals™ designation and welcomes it into I-CAR’s expanding network of I-CAR Gold Class Professionals businesses.” Van Alstyne continued, “GEICO’s commitment to training on today’s ever-changing vehicle technology will continue to provide its auto damage trainers with the knowledge needed to deliver a positive customer experience and ultimately, a safe and complete repair for its customers.”
