BASF joins forces with IBIS
BASF's Senior Vice President Coatings Europe, Harald Pflanzl described IBIS as "a neutral platform where the different sides of the industry - bodyshop, automotive and influencer - can come together. For us, the real benefit of IBIS is its ability to bring these stakeholders together and open up dialogue.
"Over the next few years we expect to see the collision repair market becoming more efficient, more environmentally friendly and more customer-focused." he said. "Every market has its own local issues to deal with but, through IBIS, I believe that we can find ways of moving towards best practices. For example, there needs to be more focus on key-to-key times and we also need to encourage young people to join the profession. Education is fundamental to our industry's future."
