I-CAR recently premiered one of its newest online courses, Collision Repair Process overview (CR0O01), which covers basic repair information.

This online training opportunity covers basic information about the collision repair process. It is the first in a series of courses that will be introduced over the next year by I-CAR as the "Basic Principles of Auto Collision Repair" series. The student will gain insight into the activities of the collision repair process, including understanding estimates, damage analysis procedures, ordering parts, repair and refinish operations, and conducting a final inspection."

Bill Stage, I-CAR director of marketing and distribution said, "This course was developed for those new to the collision industry. Each of our key industry segments will benefit from this I-CAR training opportunity - collision repair; insurance; vehicle manufacturers; education, training, and research; tool, equipment, and supply; and related industry services. Anyone new to the collision industry will find it valuable."

Stage noted that understanding the collision repair process, as well as some of the terminology and common issues that can arise as the result of a collision, are important for customer-facing individuals involved in the collision repair and claims handling process.
