In 2009, the I-CAR Education Foundation is planning to award over $150,000 in student scholarships, instructor training grants and curriculum grants. While part of the grant funding was provided by generous donations from industry members and organizations, a portion of that grant funding was raised by I-CAR Volunteer Committees who hosted local fundraisers. These events have included car shows, awareness events and golf tournaments. Due to the tremendous amount of effort put in by I-CAR volunteers, the I-CAR Education Foundation reports it is honored to offer these special awards that were presented at the I-CAR 30th Anniversary celebrations.

“The I-CAR Volunteer Committees provide a direct link between the I-CAR Education Foundation, collision repair schools and students, and the local collision marketplace in need of efficient and productive entry-level workers,” said Scott Kruger, I-CAR Education Foundation Executive Director. “On behalf of collision repair educators and students nationwide, the I-CAR Education Foundation thanks these Committees for their commitment to their local schools and for their vision, creativity, and hard work in hosting these fundraising events.”
