OVERLAND PARK, Kan. — Ten schools registered in May to utilize the Coordinating Committee For Automotive Repair’s (CCAR’s) S/P2 e-learning program that covers safety and pollution prevention in their automotive training programs. The new schools are: • Beauford Jasper Academy For Career Excellence, Ridgeland, S.C. • Ellet Auto Tech, Akron, Ohio • Hiram High School, Hiram, Ga. • Ivy Tech Community College, Kokomo, Ind. • Kansas State University-Salina, Salina, Kan. • Salina Area Technical College, Salina, Kan. • Schurz High School, Chicago, Ill. • South Plains College, Levelland, Texas • Wildwood High School, Wildwood, Fla. • Jack Yates Senior High School, Houston, Texas More than 2,000 schools across the U.S. now have access to the S/P2 courseware, which CCAR offers S/P2 free of charge to automotive training programs. S/P2 was designed in keeping with U.S. EPA and OSHA standards, which require shop personnel and students to be trained at least annually on safety and environmental regulations.
