Door Glass Sash out of Run Channel
1999-2000 Oldsmobile AlerosDoor Glass Sash out of Run Channel
According to bulletin No. 01-08-64-012B, some 1999-2000 Oldsmobile Aleros and 1999-2002 Pontiac Grand Ams have door windows that are out of channel because of a damaged sash channel clip or from the glass sash channel coming off of the glass.
Note: If the clip location is unknown, install the glass in the full up position and attach the new clip to the regulator and power the regulator to the full up position. This will set the clip in teh proper position so you can mark its location.
To repair a sash channel that has come off the glass, follow these steps:
Remove the glass.
Mark the location of the clip with tape.
Remove the adhesive with a one edge razor blade, and clean the glass ith isopropyl alcohol.
Fill the sash channel clip with adhesive
Install the clip in the marked location, and reinstall teh door glass, keeping it in its full up position for 24 hours.
Important: Install adhesive into the applicator and squeeze some adhesive out before installing the mixing tube. After the tube is installed, run a test bead
