Ferro Corporation has appointed Mark H. Duesenberg as vice president, general counsel and secretary.
He is slated to join Ferro, a leading global supplier of technology-based performance materials for automotive manufacturers, among other industries, Sept. 17. Bringing extensive legal experience at multinational companies, Duesenberg, 46, most recently served as executive director for legal and government affairs with Lenovo Group Ltd., a $16 billion global personal computer and electronic device company.
Mr. Duesenberg’s expertise crosses numerous practice areas, including general corporate and commercial law, risk management, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, product liability, dispute resolution, human resources, corporate social responsibility, and communications and marketing.
Duesenberg replaces James C. Bays, who will serve as Of Counsel to the company through his retirement at year-end 2008.
“Mark Duesenberg is an excellent addition to Ferro’s senior management team, and we look forward to the benefits of his expertise and counsel as we continue the transformation of Ferro,” says James C. Kirsch, Ferro’s chairman, president and chief executive officer. “We are grateful to Jim Bays for his important contributions to Ferro and appreciate his efforts in transitioning legal affairs leadership for the Company.”
