Pep Boys Auto Services, the nation’s leading automotive aftermarket retail and service chain, has named William Shull senior vice president – stores.

A veteran executive with more than 25 years of retail experience, Shull will be responsible for sales and operations at Pep Boys’ 562 stores across the United States and Puerto Rico.

“Bill is a seasoned executive with a strong automotive background and is a great addition to our senior team,” says Mike Odell, interim CEO. “He brings the passion and energy we need to continue the transformation of our company at a rapid pace and we expect solid performance in the field under his leadership.”

Shull’s experience spans several retailers including Lowes, The Wiz, Hollywood Entertainment and a 13-year tenure at AutoZone, where he was instrumental in building the foundation of the retail chain as a field leader. His strength is building and integrating store management teams into successfully profitable and cohesive units.

Pep Boys has more than 560 retail stores and approximately 6,000 service bays in 35 states and Puerto Rico. Along with its full-service vehicle maintenance and repair capabilities, the company also serves the commercial auto parts delivery market and is one of the leading sellers of replacement tires in the United States.
