Toyo-sponsored racer Ken Motonishi has claimed another victory in the SCCA ProSolo National Series STR (Street Touring R) class.

In Round 3 action in Wendover, Utah, Motonishi and his 2009 Mazda MX-5 with Proxes R1R extreme performance tires won by a cumulative margin of 2.139 seconds over the second-place finisher.

This was Motonishi’s second ProSolo win out of three races during the 2010 season.

“It was expected to be a tough event given the cold weather forecast. In other words, perfect for the Toyo,” says Motonishi.

“Given the circumstances I felt pretty confident going into the event. I knew the tires would give me the edge given their ability to provide excellent lateral grip right out of the box,” he reports. “Combined with their ability to launch at the start, I felt my odds were truly on my side. Fortunately I was able to drive well.”
