Breaking nationally this month, Bridgestone Bandag Tire Solutions (BBTS) is embarking upon a new advertising campaign aimed at the trucking industry.
Unveiled at the company’s Feb. 6 Executive Symposium, a new annual meeting for Bridgestone, Firestone and Bandag dealers, the ads will be appearing in trade publications geared toward truck fleets and commercial tire sales outlets.
“The campaign features images of trucks built out of thumbprints illustrating the personalized solutions that BBTS develops for customers and highlighting the company’s understanding that every fleet seeks to lower its overall operating costs,” says Tim Chen, vice president of marketing.
“This campaign is also symbolic of all the touch points that our teammates have in building a personal relationship with the customer,” he adds.
Bandag is focused on “finding ways to make a customer’s business more successful by providing go-the-extra-mile service,” says Chen.
Employees and dealers apply “a mix of programs, services, information and products to personalize a program for each fleet customer,” he explains. “The brand campaign encourages fleets to consider the primary thing that distinguishes the BBTS network – the company’s personalized approach.”
“Business relationships are like any other kind of relationships,” observes Bandag President Saul Solomon. “The basic foundation has to be there – each side needs to want the other side to be successful, and like any other relationship, you need to keep working on it. I think that’s what’s really different about us. We keep working at it.”
As part of the latest program, the company commissioned an artwork comprised of employee fingerprints. The original will hang in the corporate office in Muscatine, Iowa, and reprints of the piece will be on display at other company locations.
“BBTS teammates believe strongly in their approach to customers and the company, and this unique artwork demonstrates the personal touch our teammates deliver,” says Chen.
Bandag’s medium and heavy duty truck tires, sold to the original equipment and replacement markets throughout the U.S. and Canada, are available at more than 2,500 truck stops and dealers carrying the Bridgestone, Firestone and Dayton lines.
