Previously utilized only by NASCAR, the military and the airline industry, Nashville-based GoNitroTire aims to bring nitrogen tire inflation to the masses with a new promotional program highlighting the technology’s ecological benefits.
“With gas prices at the highest ever, consumers and business are looking for effective means to save money as well as helping the environment,” says the firm’s founder and managing partner Ken Lawton.
“The day has come for nitrogen tire inflation to be embraced in the public domain,” he continues, noting how the concept has been “tried and tested by large industry and professional motorsports for decades.”
The company belongs to the CleanCitiesCoalition environmental advocacy organization, and Lawton touts nitrogen as providing sustained tire pressure levels, a safer and smoother ride, better gas mileage and extended treadwear.
GoNitroTire’s NitroFleet and TireXtender lines are directed toward servicing the consumer and commercial motor pool segments.
Lawton says the technology is positioned to “revolutionize the way people maintain their tires.”
