Charity benefits through online bids to become Honorary Starter for Firestone Indy 200

Firestone Racing is once again offering the extraordinary opportunity for one special race fan to be the Honorary Starter of the Firestone Indy 200 IndyCar Series event at the Nashville Superspeedway on Saturday, July 12.

Patrick McKennon, an avid race fan and a resident of Nashville, won the opportunity to wave the green flag at last year’s Firestone Indy 200 at the Nashville Superspeedway.

Firestone Racing is once again offering the extraordinary opportunity for one special race fan to be the Honorary Starter of the Firestone Indy 200 IndyCar Series event at the Nashville Superspeedway on Saturday, July 12.

“Each year, we relish the opportunity to make one very generous IndyCar Series fan very happy, while raising funds for the United Way of Metropolitan Nashville ,” says Al Speyer, Firestone Racing’s executive director. “It is so rewarding to be able to utilize our partnership with the IndyCar Series and Nashville Superspeedway to benefit such a worthwhile organization.”

The Firestone Indy 200 Honorary Starter Package will be auctioned on eBay through Monday, June 30.

The package includes:
• Waving the Green Flag at the race
• Four grandstand tickets
• Admission to Firestone’s pre-race hospitality suite
• Firestone Racing apparel
• Recognition in pre-race activities
