Windshield repair has become a common procedure performed during the collision repair process. It can also help a shop tap into a new customer base to which it might not otherwise have access. 
Adding on a towing operation can be a natural—and profitable— complement to a collision repair facility.

An added sales opportunity that has worked well for Ken Stanley is spray-on truck bed liners. Stanley, owner of Competition Auto Supercenter, a collision repair shop in Flagstaff, Ariz., has been selling spray-on bed linings for about 10 years and says his company installs them on 10 to 40 trucks a month.
Applying spray-on bed lining is similar in many ways to vehicle refinishing, Stanley says. Similar masking techniques and materials are required. All wax, grease, dust and loose paint must be removed and the bed surface must be scuffed prior to application. Temperature and humidity must be within specified ranges.
