NASTF to host annual meeting at ASRW

Sept. 27, 2012

Sept. 27, 2012—The National Automotive Service Task Force (NASTF) will host its annual meeting during this year’s Automotive Service & Repair Week (ASRW) in New Orleans.

The NASTF’s meeting, scheduled for Oct. 13 at 1 p.m., is open to all ASRW participants, including attendees and exhibitors.

ASRW organizers said the meeting will include presentations by the Renewable Fuels Association (RFA), the Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association (AASA) and several NASTF committees. The NASTF’s Vehicle Security Committee will present information regarding the LSID Registry for vehicle security professionals.

“NASTF needs to be at ASRW,” said Skip Potter, executive director of the NASTF. “Wherever technicians and shop owners congregate, NASTF needs to be there. We are 12 years old this year with several valuable services available to link independent technicians to the OEM service networks, and we will use ASRW to spread our message.”

The NASTF is a nonprofit organization that facilitates the availability and accessibility of automotive service information, training, communication, and diagnostic tools and equipment.
