PPG names Ohio Auto Kolor Platinum Distributor of the Year

March 27, 2012—PPG Industries recently named Ohio Auto Kolor in Columbus, Ohio, as its 2011 Platinum Distributor of the Year.

The award was presented to Gary Bumgarner, president of Ohio Auto Kolor, during PPG’s Platinum Distributor Conference in February.

“We were all surprised and excited to find out we were the Platinum Distributor of the Year,” Bumgarner said. “We’re celebrating our 50th anniversary this year so we’ve been focusing on that. This award is something we will take great pride in, and I’m glad we—especially my mom and dad—were all here to accept it. And, of course, this honor belongs to everyone at our company. Ohio Auto Kolor became a single-line PPG distributor in 1962. The company now operates eight locations throughout central Ohio with 65 employees.
