Online Marketing Conference to kick off 2011 SEMA Show

Oct. 5, 2011

Oct. 5, 2011—The SEMA Education Institute (SEI) on Tuesday announced it will host the SEMA Online Marketing Conference to kick off the 2011 SEMA Show.

The conference, sponsored by eBay Motors, gathers top Internet marketing experts and educators throughout the U.S. to share their knowledge and strategies for online marketing success, according to SEI.

The conference will feature two educational tracks—a Fundamentals track and an Intermediate track, according to SEI.

The Fundamentals track is designed for business owners or marketers who have limited working knowledge of online marketing. Educational sessions include: “Mobile Site Development-Best Practice,” “Success Secrets of Highly Effective Facebook Pages,” “Getting Found on Search Engines,” and “Analytics 101: What You Need to Know.”

The Intermediate track is designed for more sophisticated Internet marketers, and will highlight the latest Internet tools and tips that can be used for digital marketing, according to SEI. Educational sessions include: “Live Landing Page Review,” “How to Maximize & SEO Video on Your Site to Increase Conversions and Traffic,” and “Your SEM Campaigns to Increase Revenues.”

“This is SEMA’s third year to offer an event devoted entirely to online marketing strategy,” said Tom Myroniak, vice president of marketing and member services for SEMA. “With technology changing at such a rapid pace, SEMA feels it is critical to gather subject-matter experts to share their expertise with the industry.”

Completion of the conference will allow attendees to earn credits toward their Automotive Aftermarket Professional (AAP) or Master Automotive Aftermarket Professional (MAAP) credential from the University of the Aftermarket, according to SEI.

The full-day conference will be held Oct. 31 from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The cost to participate is $119 for SEMA members, and $149 for non-members. It is open to all registered SEMA Show attendees. For more information, or to register for the conference, visit

The 2011 SEMA Show is scheduled for Nov. 1-4 in Las Vegas.
