Jan. 17, 2012—Automotive Lift Institute Inc. (ALI) recently released the 2012 edition of its “Vehicle Lifting Points for Frame Engaging Lifts” guide.
ALI said the guide is a quick-reference manual for lifting point information recommended by vehicle manufacturers. The 60-page lifting point guide—used for domestic cars, imported cars and light trucks—uses more than 200 undercarriage images to cover the most recent 20 model years.
The 2012 edition of the lifting point guide includes 2012 model year vehicles, a revision of older images, and the addition of cautionary notes in an effort to clarify pick-up point locations for shop owners and technicians, according to ALI.
ALI said it produces the lifting points guide annually, using data provided by Chek-Chart Products and MOTOR Information Systems.
