Nov. 10, 2015—Leaders from Brazil’s collision repair industry gathered at the International Bodyshop Industry Symposium (IBIS) on Oct. 28 in Sao Paulo to discuss global trends.
IBIS, which was hosted by AzkoNobel and Fix Auto World, was established in 2001 and aims to unite and educate top-level automotive executives in the global repair industry.
Fifty delegates representing OEMs, dealerships, insurance companies, distributors and industry partners networked and gained a deeper understanding on how market trends can benefit business development in the region.
Throughout the day, IBIS and AzkoNobel specialists led a number of business and technical discussion forums that explored the relevance of global automotive trends to the market in Brazil, characteristics of a maturing market, and the increasing trend toward consolidating bodyshops into MSOs. The day ended with an interactive panel session, summarizing the key themes and a question and answer session.
“Each market has its own unique dynamics and Brazil is no exception to this. It was great to see such readiness to learn and embrace change to build a better future for the body and paint industry in Brazil. We look forward to supporting the Brazilian market further at the next IBIS event in the summer of 2016, which will further cement the fantastic work being done by our local team,” said Keith Malik, AzkoNobel’s VR director global accounts.
