Anhui province, China-based automaker Jianghuai Automobile reported commercial vehicle sales of 62,500 units in the first quarter of 2010, including 53,000 light-duty trucks. The automaker’s daily sales of light-duty trucks have exceeded 1,000 units, laying a solid foundation for the company to surpass the 1 million sales milestone.
Sales of light-duty trucks have maintained their strength in China since January of this year, with sales totaling 490,000 units for the first quarter, representing a year over year growth of 45.3 per cent. Jianghuai Automobile has been one of the best performers in terms of light-duty truck sales.
Jianghuai Automobile adjusted its product mix early this year by offering three series of light-duty trucks for customers with different budgets and needs, improving its competitiveness in the light-duty truck segment.
The carmaker displayed its latest high-end light-duty truck N721 at the Beijing Auto Show on April 23. The truck features a wide, comfortable cab, brand new chassis and world-class performance.
