Industrial Finishes & Systems acquires Sunrise Automotive Paint; bolsters management team

Industrial Finishes & Systems Inc. (IF&S), a distributor of automotive paint, equipment and supplies headquartered in Eugene, Ore, announced the acquisition of Sunrise Automotive Paint in Rancho Cordova, Calif.

Rancho Cordova joins IF&S locations in Napa and Woodland, strengthening the company’s footprint in Northern California. The location in Rancho Cordova will continue as Sunrise Automotive Paint for the immediate future with plans to transition to the Industrial Finishes name over the next 60 to 90 days.

Following the acquisition, IF&S will have 24 distribution centers nationwide. Operating continuously since 1958, IF&S is a family-owned business supplying the automotive OEMs and collision repair centers, the recreation vehicle industry, aerospace and military clients, and the industrial/commercial markets.

Additionally, IF&S has hired George Szuh as a Regional Sales Manager in Northern California. Previously, Szuh represented paint and specialty chemical manufacturer, AkzoNobel. He has extensive experience in the collision repair industry as a body shop owner and manager throughout Northern California.
