For the second consecutive year, the Alliance of Automotive Service Providers of New Jersey (AASP/NJ) met with representatives from Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center to make a donation to help the organization in its efforts to combat prostate cancer. AASP/NJ's donation of $1,000 was once again generated in part from the proceeds of the association's recent Race Night event at Pole Position Raceway in Jersey City.
AASP/NJ President Jeff McDowell met with Memorial Sloan Kettering's Development Officer, Natalia Montoya, at the Meadowlands Exposition Center in Secaucus, NJ (location of the association's NORTHEAST® Automotive Services Show) to present this year's contribution. "This is one of the best parts of my job," McDowell says. "As I have said before, many of us have been, or know someone who has been affected by prostate cancer. Memorial Sloan Kettering does an amazing job in their treatment and search for a cure for this horrible disease. We are honored to contribute to and help further along what MSK is doing on a daily basis."

Memorial Sloan Kettering is delivering on the promise of personalized cancer medicine and setting the stage for transformational change, both in the near term and for years to come. From breakthrough discoveries in their laboratories to new outpatient facilities expanding access to their care, their goal is to change how the world treats cancer.

"As a member of MSK's Corporate Partners for Excellence (CPE) Program, AASP/NJ's generosity lets our physician-scientists provide cancer patients with the best treatment available today, while advancing research to improve tomorrow's outcomes," Montoya states. "We are grateful for their partnership."
