In addition to the presentation by the Definitions Committee for the release of the online Wiki Glossary, there are many presentations on current industry issues or topics taking place. Highlighting just a few, the Technical Committee presentation will dive into aspects of plastic repair, while the Emerging Technologies Committee will focus on scanning skill set requirements. Insurer-Repairer Relations are reviewing shared perspectives on Steering, Certifications and Luxury Brands and the hot topics of Wages, Sex, Marijuana and Guns will be discussed in-depth by Cory King's Human Resources presentation. More presentations are featured on the Agenda, online. The Wiki Glossary includes segments for General Automotive Terms, General Automotive Parts Definition, Frame / Unibody / Structural Terms, Automotive Scan Diagnostics, Calibration, and Programming, Insurance Terms, Computer Terms, and Time Terms. A work of the Definitions Committee, but with the support of CIECA, this glossary is for the entire industry to use and contribute to. "The intent of the Wiki Glossary is to be an ongoing work product for CIC, and to be used by the entire industry," commented Chris Evans, State Farm Insurance and Co-Chair of the Definitions Committee. "The committee will review change or addition submissions to the online form, which can come from any person. This will add value to the glossary by keeping it current with ever-changing terminology our industry uses." "One exciting related meeting we'd like to make sure everyone knows about is the SCRS Repairer Roundtable featuring the CFO of Chipotle Mexican Grill," added Guy Bargnes, CIC Chairman. "We have a lot of information being presented during our April meeting week, to add value to every person of every segment of the collision repair industry. Make sure you are registering in advance to save your spot!"Click here for the full meeting schedule The Collision Industry Conference (CIC) is a forum made up of participants from all industry segments for the expressed purpose of discussing and exploring the issues that occur among them, to fulfill the mission of "A collision industry in which all segments work together to enable a complete, safe, and quality repair". Through discussion and research during meetings and extensive interim committee work, CIC attempts to form consensus on various issues, aware that all such findings are nonbinding and voluntarily accepted.
