AMS Automotive appoints Patrick Biermann as EVP, GM of Heavy Duty Group

AMS Automotive LLC has appointed Pat Biermann as executive vice president and general manager of the company’s newly established Heavy Duty Group.

AMS Automotive LLC has appointed Pat Biermann as executive vice president and general manager of the company’s newly established Heavy Duty Group. He will be responsible for driving further growth of the AMS commercial vehicle clutch business, as well as assisting in the development of the Company’s emerging strategic initiatives.

Biermann joins AMS with more than 40 years of world-wide experience in the heavy duty aftermarket, automotive aftermarket, and national fleet industry.

Chris Jackson, president of AMS remarked, “We’re excited to have Pat on board the AMS team. His proven track-record for success, combined with his vast array of market knowledge and contacts will be instrumental in further developing our dual-market strategies for growth within the heavy duty and automotive aftermarkets.”

Before joining AMS, Biermann was the president of HD America (HDA) headquartered in Earth City, Mp. He was an initial founder of HDA and helped build strong relationships with distributors, suppliers and fleets. HDA was the first marketing group in the heavy duty industry, and under his leadership, grew from 30 locations to over 500 locations. Prior to his tenure with HDA, Biermann was director of heavy duty sales at Wagner Electric in St. Louis, Mo.
