Caliber Acquires San Diego Shop

May 21, 2013—Caliber Collision Centers on Monday announced the acquisition of European Auto Body of Escondido, a collision repair facility based in Escondido, Calif., near San Diego.

The new 14,300-square-foot facility is Caliber’s 13th shop in the San Diego market. The company now operates 126 collision centers overall throughout California, Arizona, Nevada, Texas and Oklahoma.

“After spending time with European Auto Body’s management and team members over the past few months, we firmly believe they will provide the operational consistency, single-minded customer focus and cost management our clients are demanding for the repair of advanced structural materials using the latest bond, weld and rivet technologies,” said Mark Sanders, chief operating officer of Caliber.
