October 14, 2010—ABRA Auto Body & Glass announced on Thursday that through its Marathon Cup golf tournament, it raised $88,000 for the Courage Center.

Courage Center is a rehabilitation and resource center for people with physical disabilities, brain injuries, speech or vision impairments or hearing loss, according to an ABRA press release_notes.

The 12th annual Marathon Cup took place in August with 28 golfers participating. Each golfer collected pledges for playing 100 holes in one day. In 12 years, ABRA has raised more than $2 million.

“It’s terrific to have ABRA on board as sponsor of the Marathon Cup,” said Jacob Johnson, development officer of Courage Center. “ABRA has been a great friend to Courage Center through the years, and because of their support we are able to offer programs and services for individuals with physical disabilities and sensory impairments.”
