Oct. 11, 2016—BASF recently announced that Berry Kooijman of the Netherlands came in first place at the international R-M Best Painter Contest, on Sept. 29, in Clermont, France. Additionally, Canadian refinish painter Myles Veljacic was named the most sustainable painter at the automotive event.
Over three days, each participant at the competition demonstrated their skills in different collision repair tasks, including: preparation, blending, color retrieval, color reading, paint masking, and health and safety. All participants were under 30 years of age. Fifteen painters from 15 countries participated in the 12th annual event.
