Golden Valley Auto Body hosted its first car giveaway event in Yuba City, Calif.
Jan. 31, 2017—Golden Valley Auto Body, a family-operated collision repair center located in Yuba City, Calif., announced on Monday that it donated a refurbished Honda Civic.
The grand prize winner of Golden Valley’s first-ever “Gratitude of Giving” Car Giveaway event was a single mother named Serenity, who took home a 2009 Honda Civic. Aside from the vehicle, insurance was donated from a Farmer's Insurance agent for a policy on the car, gas/gift cards were donated from Lakeview Centers, Yuba City Honda donated complimentary oil change certificates and Cleanrite Buildrite donated a carpet cleaning certificate. The second place winner received a $100 Visa gift card.
To qualify to win the car, an application had to be completed by those in need of a vehicle and only two were considered as the final applicants. The shop received over 60 qualified applications.
With the help of the local Rotary Club, a committee was formed to choose the top two winners. Both winners were contacted and told that their application had been chosen to qualify to win the car.
