Gerber Acquires Indiana Heavy-Duty Shop

Sept. 28, 2016—The Boyd Group announced the acquisition of a collision repair shop in Portage, Ind.

The shop was previously operated by Great Lakes Peterbilt, a truck dealership. The new location will focus on the repair of semi trucks, large commercial vehicles and recreational vehicles.

"This is our fifth center that specializes in commercial vehicles and RVs," said Tim O'Day, president and COO of the Boyd Group's U.S. operations. "This new location will enhance our large footprint in metropolitan Chicago and will enable us to serve additional customers and further assist our insurance partners."
