Collision industry supports Haiti relief

Jan. 19, 2010

Jan. 19, 2010--Attendees of the Collision Industry Conference (CIC) Jan. 13-15 generated donations to be sent to the American Red Cross to assist in recovery efforts from the earthquake that hit Haiti Jan. 12.

Jeanne Silver, chairwoman of the Collision Industry Foundation (CIF), encouraged all attendees of the CIC conference, which was held in Palm Springs, Calif., to donate $5 or $10. The one-day campaign raised $772.

“We hope our one-day effort inspires others to donate and to initiate similar efforts in their businesses and communities,” Silver said. “We know that at times like this, no donation is too small, and we thank the CIC attendees for their spontaneous generosity.”

The foundation will continue to serve as a conduit for donations to the Red Cross in the name of the collision industry. Donations can be made at the CIF website, collisionindustryfoundation.org, and should be marked “Haiti Relief.”
