July 17, 2013—Windshield repair company Glass Mechanix Solutions will host a Perfect Repair Challenge in its exhibitor booth during this year's Automotive Service & Repair Week (ASRW) in Las Vegas, event organizers announced Wednesday.

All ASRW attendees will have unlimited opportunities throughout the show to participate in the contest by repairing windshield damage.

The contest judges will have a scorecard for each glass break to quantify the difficulty of the damage and quality of the repair. Customer interaction, education about the process, and time will also play a role during the judging process.

Glass Mechanix will announce the winners of the challenge at the conclusion of the show on Oct. 18. The first place winner will receive a Daytona Repair System valued at $800; the second place winner will receive a Glass Mechanix gift certificate for $100 and an iPod; and the third place winner will receive a Glass Mechanix gift certificate for $100.

“Providing complimentary education, training and certification to assist shops in diversifying their offerings is a huge benefit we are grateful to provide to ASRW attendees, and we encourage everyone to take advantage of this free on-floor opportunity," said Dan Risley, executive director of the Automotive Service Association (ASA).
