Jan. 25, 2011 — Four I-CAR instructors recently joined the Collision Repair Education Foundation’s Industry Leadership Circle after donating more than $1,000 each to foundation scholarship funds.
Instructors Paul Holman, Tony Passwater and Roy Taylor donated to the Lon Baudoux Legacy Scholarship Fund. The fourth instructor, Michael Minutillo, donated to the Collision Repair Education Campaign Fund.
“These individuals have made an extraordinary commitment to collision repair schools and students and an investment in the future of our industry," said Scott Krueger, executive director of the Collision Repair Education Foundation. “They represent a small sample of our colleagues, co-workers, and friends who have supported the Education Foundation out of their own pockets.”
The Lon Baudoux Legacy Scholarship was created in memory of I-CAR Development Manager Lon Baudoux, who died in November of 2008. Passwater said Baudoux was one of his first great instructors.
“Most important he was a friend that I always could count on,” Passwater said. “It is not often that individuals such as Lon pass through your life, and his work and commitment to this industry should never be forgotten.”
