Gerber Collision & Glass opens new Indiana repair center

Oct. 11, 2012 — The Boyd Group Inc. recently announced the opening of a new collision repair center in Portage, Ind., which will operate under the company’s Gerber Collision & Glass brand.

With the addition of this nearly 6,000-square-foot facility, previously known as Preferred Auto Body, the Boyd Group now operates nine facilities in Indiana and 154 across the country.

"Portage is the largest city in Porter County and the third largest in northwest Indiana," Tim O'Day, president and COO of the Boyd Group's U.S. operations, said in a press release_notes. "The addition of the new Portage repair center expands our footprint to better serve customers and insurance partners in this growing market."
