July 26, 2011

July 26, 2011 — Chrysler recently approved the use of a new clearcoat from Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes on a global basis.

The 1100755 Elegance clear underwent an extensive certification process to ensure that it met Chrysler’s standards for use on vehicles repaired at its dealerships, according to Sherwin-Williams.

The clearcoat is designed for force-dry/booth applications. Sherwin-Williams said it offers the ultimate in gloss, excellent application and buffability, and superior performance. The paint company recommends using the new product for multi-panel repairs or overall finishing.

“Elegance clearcoat is a premium clearcoat solution and we’re pleased that Chrysler has recognized the product on a global basis,” said Jason Crager, OEM business development manager for Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes. “We believe Sherwin-Williams offers some of the fastest and highest quality clearcoats, including our HPC15 and HPC21 products, which help collision centers to increase productivity and profitability while saving energy costs.”
