July 8, 2019—The Better Business Bureau is investigating a Lakewood, Colo., auto body shop after a customer said the shop did not finish repairs on his car and took parts from it, according to ABC 7 in Denver.
Steve Jacobson reportedly took in his used Honda for a repair at Lakewood Collision and was told the repair would cost $2,800.
After a two-week delay, Jacobson arrived at the body shop to find the car repairs not finished and parts missing on the car, including the luggage rack, floor mats and spare tire.
Jacobson filed complaints with the Attorney General's Office and he filed a fraud report with the Better Business Bureau, where the company already had an "F" rating and four complaints.
