Jan. 3, 2019—UAW is suing General Motors and the union says that, allegedly, General Motors failed to honor its obligation to transfer laid-off workers to another plant, reported WKBN First News.
UAW says around 1,000 employees with seniority, including nearly 700 from the Lordstown, Ohio plant, applied to transfer to other GM plants, including one in Fort Wayne, according to the report.
The union says GM is allegedly violating its contract by using temporary workers at Fort Wayne instead of transferring the seniority members.
