Dec. 19, 2018—A Tesla Model S vehicle in the Bay Area in Calif., caught on fire and burned to a total loss on Tuesday, reported Electrek.
The cause of the fire was unknown but it happened after the car was being towed to a garage. The vehicle had a flat tire.
According to the report, the team had managed to control the fire but it reignited later on, which can be an issue with battery fires. This happened earlier in the year when a battery pack of a Model X involved in the fatal accident in Mountain View, Calif., earlier this year reignited days after catching on fire in the crash.
