October 18, 2018—The owner of a Hyde Park, Mass., auto body shop pleaded guilty to federal tax fraud charges on Monday, reported The Boston Globe.
Richard Poillucci, 62, of Easton, pleaded guilty to three counts of aiding the preparation of false tax returns for failing to report about $569,367 in income generated through his company, Automotive Specialties Inc., the US attorney’s office said in a statement to The Globe.
Poillucci avoided paying about $215,552 in federal income taxes, according to the report. He faces a sentence for each count, of up to three years in prison and three years of supervised release.
