Kris Goodrich, an industry veteran and long-time humanitarian, has passed away.

August 2, 2018—Services will be held on Friday, Aug. 3, to honor a longtime New York body shop owner Kris Goodrich. Goodrich died on July 30, with his family and friends by his side. He was 62.

Goodrich was a longtime industry veteran in New York. He opened Goodrich Auto Works in 1977, which he and his wife, Rebecca Keeler, relocated to Bath, N.Y. in 1995. Goodrich grew the business from four employees to a full service body shop that employs 27 people. Over the years, he took his passion for building hot rods and won several best of show trophies including placing first in the 2017 Syracuse National Car Show.

Goodrich helped his community and traveled the world to 18 countries to continually give to less fortunate. His humanitarian efforts with his wife began with the World Hope International in Haiti as medical responders after the catastrophic earthquake of 2010, according to Legacy.

Goodrich and his facility, Goodrich Auto Works, appeared in FenderBender's January issue.
