March 6, 2019—General Motors is planning to close its West Chester Twp. processing center in Ohio this spring and terminate a little more than 100 jobs, reported Journal News.

The company filed a notice Monday with the state of Ohio about its plans for the facility, which is set to close May 31.

The layoff will affect approximately 101 hourly and salaried employees.

Last November, U.A.W. local 696 president Brian Martin told Journal News that GM was shutting down the West Chester processing facility by September of this year and moving workers to Burton, Mich.
