Toyota Conducts Final Phase of Takata Air Bag Recall

Toyota is conducting the final phase of a safety recall to replace potentially faulty Takata air bag inflators in about 928,000 vehicles.

Oct. 21, 2019—Toyota is conducting the final phase of a safety recall to replace potentially faulty Takata air bag inflators in about 928,000 vehicles, according to Reuters.

Previously installed Takata inflators will be replaced by those produced by other suppliers ahead of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s schedule, the company said.

Owners of the recalled vehicles will be notified by mid-December.
