While Garrett Academy of Technology is set to soon close, it will promptly be replaced by a new career and technical school that will include collision repair courses.

April 18, 2019—While the Garrett Academy of Technology in North Charleston, S.C. is scheduled to close in 2020, it'll rather quickly be replaced by a new career and technical school neary, according to a report.
School officials announced this week that Garrett Academy of Technology will close at the end of the 2019-20 school year, reported ABCnews4.com. But the area will soon get a new, similar facility located near North Charleston High School.
The Garrett Academy currently has 290 students enrolled at the school serving grades 9-12.
According to the school district, the new career school will include automotive collision repair technology, plus several technology-focused specializations.
