BMW Recalls SUVs for Panel Restricting Air Bag Deployment

BMW is recalling 50 model year 2019 X3 sDrive30i, X3 xDrive30i, X3 M40i, and X4 M40i vehicles.

May 9, 2019—BMW is recalling 50 model year 2019 X3 sDrive30i, X3 xDrive30i, X3 M40i, and X4 M40i vehicles, reported ConsumerAffairs. 

The instrument panel assembly may have been improperly manufactured, possibly affecting the deployment of the passenger's frontal airbag.

If the front passenger airbag does not deploy properly in the event of a crash, the occupant has an increased risk of injury

The recall is expected to begin June 3.
